Jack Bale

Jack Bale is the eldest of the shooters in the Bale family; he competes in both air rifle and .22 cartridge rifle. He has been shooting nine years. He started shooting Sporter Air Rifle with the 1st North Devon Scouts at Braunton Target Shooting Club.  After competing in the Scout National competitions he was invited to join the National Scout Squad. 

Jack progressed greatly in his shooting after being invited into the GB Junior Rifle Squad. The GB Junior Rifle Squad coaches have a wealth of experience in coaching in Sporter Air Rifle, Precision Air Rifle and Cartridge .22 rim fire Target Shooting. Having joined the squad as a Sporter Air Rifle shooter he very quickly moved on to Precision Air Rifle.

Jack has competed in many national and international competitions against many countries. These countries include South Africa, the USA and Germany.  He has competed in the Junior International competition several times at Bisley in Surrey and he has been to Germany with the GB Junior team.
Jack trains between two and four hours every day. He has to fit his training in with his college work and his part time job. Jack has a part time job to contribute to the cost of his training and competitions.

Most of the competitions that he competes in are under the ISSF rules. He has made it in to many finals in major competitions and is a familiar face in the line-up. The ISSF rules are the rules used at all major competitions including the Olympics and the World Cup. Jack’s ultimate goal is to compete in the Olympics.
Jack, like both his brother and sisters in their sport needs help with funding. Jack has been very grateful to all the sponsors that have helped him in the past and hopes that more will help in the future.
